Chemical wastewater passes through the UASB from bottom to top. There is a high-concentration, highly active sludge bed at the bottom of the reactor. Most organic pollutants in the wastewater are degraded into methane and carbon dioxide by anaerobic fermentation.

Here are four methods of wastewater treatment commonly used in chemical laboratory sewage treatment equipment :

(1) Physical and chemical methods commonly used in chemical wastewater treatment are: ion exchange method, extraction method, membrane separation method, etc. Wastewater often contains some small suspended matter and dissolved static organic matter. In order to further remove pollutants remaining in the water, physical and chemical methods can be selected for treatment.

(2) Biological method is a process that uses the metabolism effect of microorganisms to degrade and convert organic matter. With the development of the chemical industry, the composition of pollutants is becoming increasingly chaotic, and wastewater contains a large amount of organic pollutants. If only physical or chemical methods are used, it is difficult to meet the requirements of treatment. Using the metabolic effect of microorganisms, organic pollutants in wastewater can be transformed and stabilized to make them harmless.

(3) Chemical method is to use the effect of chemical reaction to remove organic and inorganic impurities in water. There are mainly chemical coagulation methods, chemical oxidation methods, catalytic oxidation methods, inclined tube precipitation methods, and so on.

(4) Commonly used physical methods include filtration, oblique tube sedimentation and air flotation.

Due to the agitation of water flow and air bubbles, there is a suspended sludge layer above the sludge bed. The upper part of the reactor is provided with a three-phase separator for separating digestive gas, digestive juice and sludge particles. The digested gas is led out from the top of the reactor; the sludge particles actively slide down and settle to the sludge bed at the bottom of the reactor; The UASB load can be very large, which is suitable for the treatment of high-concentration organic wastewater. The UASB with excellent operation has a high removal rate of organic pollutants, no mixing is required, and it can be used to large undulating load shocks, temperature and pH changes.

The organic components of chemical wastewater are messy. The concentration of various organic pollutants in the wastewater, the degree of biodegradability, and the degree of toxicity to the organism all directly affect the biological treatment effect of the wastewater. Straight-chain aliphatic hydrocarbon compounds, alcohols, unit phenols, fatty acids, and amino acids are all biodegradable organic substances with high tolerance concentration; and high molecular compounds such as polyvinyl chloride, whose molecular weight does not exceed 250-600 , Can also be biodegraded; and many polymer materials are generally not suitable for biological treatment.
